  1. Thank you for sharing your photos, looks like you have your hands full for a while. Please could you let me now if these type of dogs like to go hiking/camping, or would that be too much for them? I am considerring purchasing one to keep my 3 yr old collie company as he has to have a playful friend who can go to agility classess + as well? Can they be trained if the time, love is put in? Please reply as I need to make a right decision for all concerned, thank you. Jay and Buddy.

  5. I have just returned from visiting my friend who lives at Masleon (about 25 mins from Limoges)and was discussing the purchase of another Vizsla to the family. So to see your website advertised having returned from the region was perhaps an omen. I have owned my current dog Poppy for just over 12 years and cannot imagine life without her. I had never owned a Vizsla before and temperement was of paramount importance as my children were 6 and 5 at the time. What a great family dog she turned out to be, extremely loving, easy to train, great with the kids, great with strangers and great with other dogs. I regret that I never bred from her as she would have been a great mum too. In her twilight years she still has the same enthusiasm as she did when we first brought her home to the family. I love nothing more than taking her for a walk alone and watching her track scents in the undergrowth but always looking up or coming back to make sure that I am not far from her sight. I could write for ever about my love for my dog as she lays on my son's bed looking at me with those gorgeous eyes waiting for me to move from the computer and go to bed. There will never be another dog like her that is for sure and I continue to contemplate whether getting another Vizsla now to keep her company is a good idea at her age or whether it is self serving on my part in an attempt to plug the huge gap that will be left when eventually she passes on. One thing I know for sure is that I will be devastated when that time comes. So anyone out there reading this thinking about buying a Vizsla for the first time, do your homework, research the breed decide if this type of dog is right for your family and if it is I am sure you will not be disappointed.
