  1. Great new web site Sue! It shows off NearlyHeaven excellently, although you have to visit to really appreciate it all. Flying, riding, guests lounging by the pool, children playing by the farm sanctuary and all those lovely Vizslas - where do you find the time?
For anyone toying with the idea of a holiday here then Toy no longer and just click on BOOK :-)
Best wishes to you and Lucia for the year.......
    see you soon

The web site is wonderful. I'm pleased to see little Miracle doing well despite losing his dam. Congratulations on the new litter. You've done so well in France.
    Blessings and Balance,

  4. Goodluck to Sue with the relaunch website.
We have stayed in the big, beautifully appointed farm house with our family, and the Porcherie when they were not with us, where it was amazing to see the Evening Primroses open every night.
We liked the area so much that we decided to move from rural Gloucestershire.
Robin is not sure about the horse riding but Ann loved it after a lapse of nearly 20 years!
Flying with Sue is an experience no budding pilot with this chance should miss. The Limouson has beautiful countryside and from the air it is simply amazing and quite vast.
Sue has some wonderful stories to tell, and can be a great help to anyone who wants to try something slightly different from the norm.

  10. It Doesn't Get Any Better
A little bit of background... I obtained my first PPL in Malaysia about five years ago and promptly let it lapse when I moved to London. A mistake. As it had lapsed, to obtain my UK PPL I had to re-sit all of the written, oral and flying exams AND fly another 50 hours - so basically do it all over again, the only difference being that I didn't have to do the flight training.
So... What to do? I didn't want to spend a lot of money flying around grey skies over boring English landscape, while all the while trying to avoid the 90% restricted airspace. I wanted to fly somewhere that had blue skies, beautiful countryside, was relaxing and invigorating at the same time - oh, and I wanted to do it cheap! Not so much to ask really, throwing into the mix that the instructor had to be UK qualified.
Its amazing what a great tool google is. I plugged all of this into my trusty laptop and out came Nearly Heaven! This was too good to be true I thought - English instructor, flying around France (the Dordogne valley, Biarritz, French Islands etc...), beautiful French accommodation, and so much cheaper that the UK! Well, I took the plunge and flew over to Limoges with some high expectations and....
I have since flown around 100 hours with Sue and Nearly Heaven, I have stayed with her many many times and have even bought my parents over to stay from New Zealand. I have sat and passed my PPL and have just recently sat and passed my proficiency revalidation test with Sue. My wife is now learning to fly with Sue and loving every minute.
We have had some pretty crazy adventures... Seaside lunches on tiny islands, long flights Chateau spotting (for future purposes), engine hiccups over open water (don't worry, it was my mistake), being forced down by rapid moving thunderstorms and hours and hours of good conversation while doing what we love - flying! And through it all I have to say that I have always felt 110% safe while flying with Sue - which is the biggest compliment I could give!
I can't wait to fly again with her - she is part of the extended family!

  11. We have just returned from a week at la Porcerie.
It was lovely, we had a really peaceful time and it was so lovely taking our beautiful baby boy pooch Theo with us.
We felt right at home and everyone made us feel so welcome.
Sue was especially forgiving of Theo !!!
it is a beautiful place and so much walking can be done it is a great place for animals.
We will definately be back and highly reccomend it.

  12. We recently spent a week at La Porcerie over Christmas and New Year. It was absolutely lovely to spend time here over Christmas with all the misty mornings and log fires - and freshly laid eggs that Lucia brought us! We would thoroughly recommend staying here.
Many thanks Sue and Lucia, we may well be back.
