Vizsla Dogs at La Chataigneraie

At La Chataigneraie, we breed the famous Hungarian  Vizsla dogs from the Russetmantle and Bargeos English and American Champion bloodlines.

The Grand Sire: Russetmantle Fisher is from the famous Russetmantle Kennel owned by the renowned breeder, trainer, judge and British author, Gay Gottlieb.

The Grand Dam: Bargeos Chilli Pepper is from a successful family with many Championships for showing, field trials, agility etc.

Visions

The Hungarian or Magyar Vizsla represents one of the best in sporting dogs.

They are loyal companions and they have a strong claim to being one of the smallest of the all-round pointer-retriever breeds. Vizsla means alert and responsive in the Hungarian.

Size is one of the Vizsla's most attractive characteristics, and through the centuries they have held a unique position for a sporting dog.

Hungarian Vizslas are essentially house dogs and are only happy when part of the family life.

Dog and little girl Visions of Success has gained numerous wins including the prestigous  open class and was reserve best Vizsla at Le Championnat de France dog show at Montlucon.

Whispered Promises (Blanchette) was French 'best of breed' twice in 2007, she had puppies in March of 2008 and will hopefully win more competitions in the coming years.

In 2007 we added a new female to our kennel, this is Bicton Bear it All,

Her father Hungargunn Bear it'n Mind is the most famous Vizsla in Britain, he was spotted by an English judge when he was visiting Australia, he was so impressed with this dog that he negotiated to bring him to the UK, he has won everything and broken many records since arriving in the UK. He was Best of Breed at Crufts in 2009 . Further details may found through Google.
